Welcome welcome! If you are here, you have probably just joined the site and are lurking in curiosity around our lovely forum. "How do I post as my character?" may be one of the questions on your mind - and I'm going to answer it. You may have noticed that there is a little bar at the bottom of your right hand corner of your browser (if you are on PC); that little bar displays a sword icon...
See it? Right there. Clicking that little sword, let's call it the NPC Sword, will bring up a window that looks something like this:
If you have more than one NPC, they will all be listed. Clicking on one will change your posting persona to that character, and instead of it naming your main account as the original poster, it will be that character! Going back to your main, or choosing someone else, is as simple as hovering on the Avatar of that character and clicking 'Close', then repeating the process.
Did you choose the wrong person to post with? No problem! You don't even have to edit, or have Admin/Mods delete it for you. It's as simple as finding the sword on a post and changing the character name. Your left hand bar with your name will change to the right character, and display that one as the poster. Easy, right?
Now it should be noted that while we call them 'NPC' or 'Non-player Characters' doesn't mean that they are really non-players. They are your played characters, given an easy way to post as them. They really are "PC"s. I know that may have thrown some of you off at first - but don't worry! They are actively played, member-run characters.
"How do I get one?" you may ask. You will be provided with one as soon as your character is approved. In fact, your approval won't be posted until you have been assigned the NPC profile for it anyway. If you have any questions - please feel free to post them here and they will be answered!
